just got this moments ago from Equestria Daily's Calpain:

" I have talked to Seth and we are greenlighted to try the new feature out. People who submit will still have to pass the quality control test and if they can send stuff in saying it is for the Craft Compilation that would be great!"

I'd like to remind you that, like plushies and customs, you must attach a resized photo(fits screen 1920 x 1080) AND a link to the craft you are submitting.
Put 'craft compilation' in subject box.

and in email, give link to image's page

that should do it.
you should get a response that lets you know they received it
then you wait and check at eqd now and then to see if they have done it yet.
How often depends on how many they receive.
I've noticed that plushies and customs compilations happen once or twice a week
